Zero-tolerance Non-discrimination Policy

(Company name) has established a ZERO-TOLERANCE policy on unlawful discrimination with special emphasis on sex harassment.

We absolutely forbid all forms of discrimination of any kind.  We do not tolerate discrimination based on age, race, ethnicity, sex, gender orientation, veteran status or national origin. Sex harassment is a form of sex discrimination. 

Sex harassment is a request or demand for sexual favors or other conduct that may tend to create a work environment that may be intolerable. Harassment degrades everyone involved in it, and in our company it is subject to immediate investigation and resolution. 

Prohibited conduct includes unwelcome or unwanted touching, remarks about physical characteristics, so-called "adult" humor or language, any display of sexually suggestive or explicit material or requests for sexual favors.      

Each employee will undergo training in and periodic review of this policy. This policy will be posted in appropriate locations throughout out workplace.

Any employee may take a complaint of any kind of unlawful discrimination to any management official at any time. It is not necessary to follow a specific “chain-of-command” to bring a complaint to top management. All management-level employees are obliged to promptly receive and immediately report these complaints to me on a "same-day" basis.

There will be no retaliation against employees who complain about any form of discrimination.

Investigations will be conducted by outside professionals and all employees are expected to give them every measure of cooperation and assistance.

Anyone -- regardless of their position (employee, vendor, contractor, customer or other person) -- who engages in any behavior that violates this policy will be subject to immediate suspension and a confidential investigation. Non-employees will be asked to leave our premises and appropriate action will be taken.

Total adherence with this policy is a condition of employment. All violations will be dealt with under our disciplinary system. Termination of employment is among the options that will be considered in even the most minor of violations.

This is a Major Operating Policy of (Company name). Compliance with and enforcement of this policy will be reflected in performance ratings of all employees -- from entry-level staff, supervisors, department heads, professionals and executive employees.
